Lawmakers should make a full aviation bill that overhauls infrastructure and creates and sustains millions of jobs a top priority, writes Edward Wytkind, president of the Transportation Trades Department, AFL-CIO, in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He notes that airports are currently operating at full capacity and FAA staffing isn't keeping pace with current demand. Wytkind also notes that the legislation should include a provision that tightens security at overseas maintenance facilities.
