California's food trucks focus on food safety

Under a California law passed in 2007, food trucks must maintain basically the same health and safety standards as brick-and-mortar restaurants, says Matt Geller, CEO of the 150-member Southern California Mobile Food Vendors Association. The industry's proactive approach to maintaining food safety has helped it shed the old "roach coach" image.
