Commentary: Bank boards need derivatives experts

Richard Leblanc argues for the need for boards of investment banks to include directors with expertise in derivatives. "We need to admit that most corporate directors simply do not understand complex derivative products, and we are demanding too much of them in expecting otherwise," Leblanc writes. "If we want directors to understand derivatives, they need to be chosen differently."
