Obama to release more details about NCLB waivers

President Barack Obama and Education Secretary Arne Duncan are expected Friday to release more information about No Child Left Behind waivers, which, among other things, would eliminate the requirement that all students be proficient in math and reading by 2014. In exchange for waivers, states will be asked to adopt certain reforms, such as linking teachers' evaluations to students' test scores. The waivers are seen as the administration's attempt to rewrite the law after years of inaction by Congress.
