Residents who own $100,000 properties in Lincoln, Maine, will get at least a $26 reductions in property taxes annually, thanks to the town's tax increment financing agreement with First Wind's Rollins Mountain wind project, said Town Manager Lisa Goodwin. The project has generated $42.2 million in added value to local taxes, resulting in a lower mill rate for the town, Goodwin said. "That is one of the economic benefits of this project. We don't directly get their electricity, but we do get a benefit from the project," added Goodwin.
