Concrete research projects aim to improve industry methods

The $30 million Concrete Pavement Technology Program, funded by the Transportation Equity Act for the 21st Century, seeks to improve concrete pavement technology and to advance construction methods. More than 30 projects exist under the CPTP umbrella and each is designed to yield one or more new products to be used in concrete pavement engineering practice. The Innovative Pavement Research Foundation has completed substantial work on a number of projects.
