California could overtake Wisconsin in cheese production

Americans ate 8.8 billion pounds of cheese in 2003, and their appetite for common varieties like cheddar, as well as specialty cheeses, is increasing, according to a new survey. While cheese has its own healthy properties, the American Obesity Association suggests eating it with fruit.
