An $860 million expansion plan for Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, unveiled yesterday by Northwest Airlines and state officials, would add 46 gates and reserve the Lindbergh Terminal for Northwest and its partners, moving other airlines to the smaller Humphrey Terminal. "The plan is the right plan to help Northwest Airlines expand, while at the same time continuing to provide room for competition," said Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty. Northwest CEO Richard Anderson says the plan is still in its conceptual stage.
