Suit over school's suspension of disabled boy draws national attention

After Jan Rankowski, a home-schooled 9-year-old with Asperger's syndrome, threatened and kicked children on the public playground last fall, school officials suspended him so a psychologist could evaluate his behavior. Claiming their son suffered discrimination, Jan's parents have filed a suit that, many believe, could set a precedent for how children with Asperger's should be treated.
