Hurricane Rita forces school closures in Texas

Hurricane Rita has forced hundreds of Texas schools to close at least until Monday. Many of the schools had taken in evacuees from Hurricane Katrina. "Given the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina, school district and other local officials are being more cautious than ever before," said Arnold Adair, superintendent of Deer Park schools. "The safety of our students and employees remains our highest concern."
