China's top food-safety official resigns as milk crisis worsens

Li Changjiang, the minister of China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine since 2001, resigned Monday as international recalls of Chinese dairy products continued. Nestle recalled a type of milk it sold in Hong Kong after health officials found traces of melamine in a sample.
