SEC won't require immediate disclosure of short positions

The Securities and Exchange Commission said institutional money managers will not have to make immediate, public disclosures of short positions under an emergency order that went into effect today. The information will become public two weeks after it is filed electronically with the SEC. The delay is seen as a victory for hedge funds.
