Technology can predict patients at risk for kidney transplant rejection

Scientists used solid phase assays to determine who among kidney transplant candidates was at high risk for acute organ rejection. The technology is able to accurately determine the specificity and strength of antibodies in a patient with the aid of beads coated with specific HLA antigens.
