Autism rates are the same in adults and children, study finds

Autism is equally common in adults and children, refuting concerns that a vaccine given since the early 1990s may have caused a surge in diagnoses of autism spectrum disorder, according to a study from England's NHS Information Centre. Data was collected from about 4,000 households in England. Researchers said that although the study was small, it did reflect gender rates of diagnosis found in children, with men being more likely than women to have autism.
