Chicago will push developers to buy overrun insurance

If Chicago wins its bid for the 2016 Olympics, Mayor Richard Daley plans to press developers, including those of the $1 billion Olympic Village, to buy up to $4 billion in financial guarantees to protect against construction cost overruns. However, some critics say even with the insurance, taxpayers could still be at risk given some of the project's assumptions.
