Execs: Canada's wind-power sector needs short-term government help

Canada's wind power will be able to operate profitably without tax breaks and subsidies soon, but it needs short-term government help to put in transmission lines, industry executives said. The aging electric transmission grid, which does not connect with many areas that offer the greatest potential for wind-power generation, is slowing the expansion of wind power, they said.
