The latest version of a health care bill sponsored by Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, would increase subsidies given to middle-income families who buy coverage through private insurance exchanges. The change is one of several aimed at reducing costs that the health care overhaul would impose on middle-class Americans.
