Restrict access to avoid data theft by departing workers

An employer's lawsuit against a worker who took company documents and then resigned was dismissed because the employer did not restrict the worker's data access, Sam Narisi writes. To avoid data theft, employers should have confidentiality agreements and halt worker access when they resign, he writes.
