Seneca reports progress in first Marcellus Shale well

Seneca Resources announced that its first Marcellus Shale horizontal well in Pennsylvania averaged 5.8 million cubic feet per day of gas during a six-day period. Seneca intends to drill 15 to 20 more wells and raise production in the Marcellus to at least 20 million cubic feet per day of gas by the time fiscal year 2010 closes.
