Study: General aviation airport could aid S.C. county

An 18-month study on building a new general aviation airport in Cherokee County, S.C., concluded the airport would boost development in the area near Charlotte, N.C. The report found "due to its lack of general aviation access, prospective businesses overlook Cherokee County, despite its proximity, interstate access, available labor force and supportive technical institutions."
