Bill would allow only newly built boutique casinos in Atlantic City

New Jersey state Sen. Jim Whelan has sponsored a bill allowing smaller, newly built boutique casinos to open in Atlantic City. Whelan said the original bill was changed to allow only new builds in order to boost job creation. Currently, a casino needs to have 500 rooms to get a license in Atlantic City. Boutique casinos are smaller casino hotels of 200 rooms.
