Number of Hispanic-owned businesses in Texas climbs

The number of Hispanic entrepreneurs has exploded in Texas, giving the state the nation's second-largest number of Hispanic-owned businesses behind only California. The number of Hispanic-owned firms increased 40% from 2002 to 2007, and the state now boasts the top three cities for Hispanic entrepreneurs, Census data shows.
