AT&T will debut its own Galaxy S II on Oct. 2

AT&T says it will release its own version of Samsung's Galaxy S II -- already available from Sprint Nextel as the Epic 4G Touch -- on Oct. 2 for $200. The phone, which has proved a hit overseas, earned the approval of Wall Street Journal columnist Walt Mossberg, who termed Sprint's version a "capable, versatile smartphone" but warned that some users might object to its larger-than-usual 4.52-inch screen size. AT&T's version features a smaller 4.3-inch screen and is lighter.
