Survey: Users view iPad mostly as a cool toy

People who buy iPads generally don't see the tablet as useful for practical or work purposes but as an entertainment or recreational device, according to a Citigroup poll of 1,800 users in the U.S., the U.K. and China. The survey found that iPad owners are more likely than Android customers to pay for applications but still largely opt to download free software. The most common uses were general Internet browsing, e-mail, instant messaging and social media.
