Texas farm starts growing energy cane for BP cellulosic project

A farm in Liberty County, Texas, has started growing energy grasses as part of a BP project to produce cellulosic ethanol. BP is planning to build a 70-million-gallon cellulosic-ethanol plant, which the company hopes would become operational in three to five years. "We are very excited about the possibilities involved with BP. We consider them a very stable, good company that could mean a lot to this area," said Catherine Henderson of Henderson Liberty Farms.
