Eurozone consumers perk up slightly

Eurozone consumers are a bit less despondent this month than in August, but their outlook didn't improve as much as economists forecast. The household confidence index edged up to minus 14.9 from the previous minus 15.6 amid sustained record unemployment and falling industrial output, even though the region has technically emerged from recession.
