House votes in favor of eliminating health care law's funds

The House of Representatives voted 230-189 Friday in favor of a short-term government spending plan that would also eliminate funding for President Barack Obama's health care law. House Republicans called on the Democrat-led Senate to follow their lead and "show some responsibility" ahead of a potential government shutdown Oct. 1. Meanwhile, the Senate is likely to remove the Affordable Care Act provision before voting and send the legislation back to the House as a simple government funding bill.
