Contractors in St. Clair, Mich., face challenges when mowing the local cemetery due to the size of modern mowers and the cemetery rows. City Council member Tom McCartney notes that "[t]oday's equipment is much different than it was when we used to cut our own grass at the cemetery. We had rear-type mowers that didn't blow the grass everywhere ... The commercial mowers they use today are so wide they can barely get between the rows and they can't put their vacuums on them because they're too wide."
