New Indian carrier in the works from Singapore Air, Tata

Singapore Airlines is looking to team up with Tata Group to create a new airline in India. The deal involves Tata having a 51% ownership. Nine months ago, Tata entered into a similar deal with AirAsia. IndiGo was the only Indian carrier to earn a profit last year.
