N.H. students join beach cleanup efforts

About 90 second-grade students from Little Harbour School in Portsmouth, N.H., joined hundreds of other students recently to make the beach a cleaner place for wildlife and visitors. The students picked up trash on the beach at Wallis Sands State Park during the Blue Ocean Society's student cleanup day that kicked off the larger New Hampshire Coastal Cleanup, which was held in conjunction with International Coastal Cleanup Day that last year included events in 97 countries, an organizer said.
