Shanghai's shopping scene to add upscale brands

Milan's 10 Corso Como has opened shop in Shanghai; Hong Kong department store Lane Crawford will open a 150,000-square-foot Shanghai flagship in October; and European luxury fashion outlet developer Value Retail will open Suzhou Village an hour outside the city this fall. The moves aim to encourage China's luxury shoppers, who currently do about 60% of their high-end shopping overseas, to spend more at home.
