Some big retailers turn to experts to analyze big data

Brooks Brothers faced an overwhelming flood of customer data from its more than 500 stores and online retail outlets, driving the retailer to outsource the analysis and management of its big data to London-based eCommera last year. Retailers nationwide are making similar moves, with some including Nordstrom creating in-house data analysis divisions and others including Neiman Marcus hiring one of a growing number of outside firms.
