CBS names two-man team to probe memo scandal

CBS News, hoping to salvage its reputation in the wake of a reporting "mistake" in which the network used now-discredited documents in a report on President Bush's military record, hired two industry heavyweights to investigate the affair. Dick Thornburgh, a Republican politician, and Louis D. Boccardi, former CEO of the Associated Press, will probe what went wrong at "60 Minutes."
