Product placement, an industry once run by a handful of specialized firms, is hot. Consumers are saturated by ads, and the subtle pitch of a product inserted into content has grown more popular with marketing executives. That's attracted new players -- traditional advertising agencies and talent agencies are now offering product-placement services.
