Idaho university wins grant for artificial hand program

The Department of Defense provided a boost to Idaho State University's "Smart Prosthetic Hand Technology" program with an $842,000 grant. The program hopes to develop an implantable prosthetic hand that uses brain impulses to provide arm and hand amputees with a sense of touch and temperature sensation.
