Commentary: Systemic solution needed to overcome crisis

Dominique Strauss-Kahn, managing director of the International Monetary Fund, wrote that the financial crisis, stemming from the subprime-mortgage meltdown, is the result of a systemic problem and therefore needs a systemic solution. Strauss-Kahn outlined a plan for working through the crisis. Strauss-Kahn welcomed measures taken by the US government and suggested that other advanced economies prepare contingency plans as well.
