E-Health alliance asks states for HIE compliance

The State Alliance for e-Health, a group of governors and state officials from around the U.S., is asking states to advocate e-prescribing and other medical and privacy issues surrounding health care IT. A new report, "Accelerating Progress -- Using Health Information Technology and Electronic Health Information Exchange to Improve Care," lists top concerns and recommendations for states to consider, including standards and interoperability and support for e-health efforts.
