IRS examining exceptions for compensation deductions

The Internal Revenue Service is exploring two exceptions commonly used in calculating executive compensation deductions by firms. The rule that caps deductions for executive compensation at $1 million a year has several exceptions. The IRS is looking at the pay-for-performance and interim-chief exceptions.
