Carnival says cruise prices attracting passengers

Carnival Corp. recorded a 20% decline in third-quarter profit but said reduced prices for its cruises are helping spur demand. The cruise company said that bookings for the remainder of 2009 and for early 2010 are up 19% compared with year-ago bookings. However, the company cautioned against unfettered optimism as the economic conditions remain difficult.
