U.K. recession to end by Christmas, CBI says

The Confederation of British Industry predicted that the U.K. recession will be over by Christmas. GDP will grow 0.3% this quarter and 0.4% in the next, after five consecutive quarters of contraction, the CBI said. The group forecast that consumers will make holiday purchases through December because the value-added tax will be raised in January.
