Washington, D.C., will accept federal land for bridge project

Washington, D.C., will accept land from the federal government that will allow it to proceed with construction of the 11th Street bridge over the Anacostia River. The $365 million project is expected to ease traffic for commuters by providing a direct link to bridges that connect with the Southeast-Southwest Freeway.
