FAA: Integrated reporting for pilots, controllers will lead to safer skies

In an effort to get an overall view of U.S. airspace safety, the FAA said Wednesday it will integrate voluntary error reporting programs for pilots and air traffic controllers. "This revolutionary program will give us an incredible amount of data that will help us find problems, make corrections and avoid incidents," FAA Administrator Randy Babbitt said in announcing the program, which will launch with United Airlines as its first participant.
