General Electric CEO Jeffrey Immelt criticized the state of energy in the country, for its government policy and infrastructure. Speaking at the Gridwise Global Forum in Washington, D.C., Immelt said China is rapidly on its way to developing a world-class clean-energy industry that includes nuclear power, electric vehicles and wind power. By contrast, the U.S. is falling behind the rest of the world. "This is a great country," Immelt said. "But, you know, we have to have an energy policy. This is just stupid what we have today."
