HSBC is expected to make sweeping changes to senior management

Stuart Gulliver, head of investment banking at HSBC, will succeed CEO Michael Geoghegan, who is resigning at the end of the year, sources said. Meanwhile, Chief Financial Officer Douglas Flint is expected to succeed Chairman Stephen Green. The HSBC board, which is scheduled to meet in Shanghai next week, needs to approve the plan.
