Lower HRT use coincides with drop in breast cancer rates

A Canadian study found that the sharp decline in the use of hormone replacement therapy among women ages 50 to 69 led to a 9.6% decrease in breast cancer incidence between 2002 and 2004. Researchers said more long-term studies are needed to help clarify the connection.
