Michigan might ban gas as euthanasia method

The Michigan House passed bills that would ban the use of poisonous gas as a method of euthanizing unwanted animals at the state's shelters. The bills, which now go to the state Senate, would require shelters to use lethal injections, which supporters say is more humane than gas.
