Report: EMR sales at large hospitals are up almost 200% in 2009

A KLAS report found that sales of EMR systems at hospitals with at least 200 beds hit a seven-year low during the recession in 2008, but then almost doubled last year as a result of the stimulus law. The report also found that vendors Epic and Cerner accounted for about 70% of hospitals' EHR purchases in 2009.
