FCC gets visit from DIRECTV on retrans issue

DIRECTV CEO Mike White met with the Federal Communications Commission last week to discuss concerns about needed changes for retransmission consent. The FCC was told it should mandate "the unbundling of broadcast and cable programming channels," since the current practice requires subscribers to pay for unwanted channels.
