Impact of U.S. drought on grain prices is receding, group says

The drought-induced spike in grain prices may have already peaked and it may take another extreme weather event to lift prices further, according to projections by Macquarie Agricultural Funds Management. "Prices of grains and soybeans may have already peaked as the news around the drought in the U.S., as well the weather in [the former Soviet Union] and Australia is pretty well priced in," said Tim Hornibrook, an executive director for the group.
