At the IAB MIXX this week in New York, the Interactive Advertising Bureau issued a style guide for five Rising Star format mobile ad units. The units -- dubbed Filmstrip, Ad Control Bar, TimeSync, Extender and Full Screen -- are intended to be "next for the IAB's strategic ad development," according to IAB's head of brand initiatives, Peter Minnium. The formats will be open to comment by the ad community until IAB's Rising Stars Working Group makes a final determination on the technical specifications and parameters, writes P.J. Bednarski.
